Our Story
2003 – Red Rose Telecom became a Limited Company
The company started when Mark, our CEO & Founder was frustrated when no supplier could help overcome a problem he faced at work, so he created the solution himself. He asked his local mobile phone shop to provide the connections with the promise to bring business in, established distributors and from there, Red Rose Telecoms was born.
2012 – Rebranded to RoamingExpert
We had a passion for doing things differently in the telecoms sector. We wanted to be known for our customer-centric approach and offer tailored solutions with a personal touch. This shift marked our commitment to the wholesale air time model. Rather than operate just as a dealer, there was a desire to give corporate clients the level of flexibility they needed for their mobile contracts.
2015 – Founded RoamingExpert Yachts
After having conversations with numerous captains, we discovered there was industry-wide frustration about sourcing multiple local SIM cards worldwide to establish a connection onboard. This inspired the development of our plug-and-play data tariffs that catered to dual seasons as a hassle-free solution for connectivity – all with the unparalleled level of customer service we were renowned for.
2015 – Founded RoamingExpert Racing
We noted the motorsport industry as one with similar requirements to the yachts. The motorsport industry depends on a huge amount of international travel, often remote locations, and deals with high volumes of data. RoamingExpert Racing solutions offered motorsport teams reliable and stable connectivity at circuits around the world cheaper than the direct networks.
2025 – Rebranded to CoByEx
CoByEx marks our continued evolution as experts in all things connectivity. Our rebrand celebrates our growth and diversification into new services, markets and opportunities – all while staying true to offering our valued customers tailored mobile, connectivity and IT solutions with our signature personalised approach.
